The Only Piece I've Ever Written for Violin and Tuba by P.D.Q. Bach

Always glad to know that P.D.Q. Bach is still being taught and performed in conservatories, music halls, back alley ways and sanitariums as it has been for thousands of years.

i first saw PDQ Bach performed live in a sanitarium! Peter Schickele opened by uttering the words "Well, hello there."

I'm gonna look up some of his works on IMSLP. ;) I see that his largest patron, Johann Peter Schickele, recently passed. Flush a Thorazine for the guy...

yes, Peter Schickele has passed away. he was a genius.

Did not realized he had passed. Also did not realize he did the soundtrack for Silent Running. I'm going to have to go back and rewatch it and pay more attention. I grew up listening to classical music and came across P.D.Q. Bach pretty early on. I'm pretty sure I was the only kid at my junior high that knew the tracks on The Wurst of P.D.Q. Bach like the back of my hand.
