Song information
In the late 80's, my brother Eric, who at the time was a Jim Morrison fanatic, wrote several poems including one called Two Thousand Years in which Julius Ceasar comes back from the dead to proclaim the end of the world. That original poem has been long lost but I remembered the idea and after getting his permission to use the original concept, I rewrote the lyrics with the original basic idea and gave it a real grand bombastic feel. I did put it on the old macjams.net site but they went down shortly after.

Lyrics
Julius Ceasar has risen again
He's said nothing about the other plane
He refused coffee, no need to offend
He had plenty to explain

This is just the beginning, can't you see
Soon it's going to be true history
More like me are coming just you wait
And there is no time to hesitate

There was still hope for all it is true
But people as they are, there's nothing you can do
Soon the seas will drown us, the heat will kill
And the suspense and terror could be overkill
Cause we've been raping the earth for 2,000 Years
Et tu no more
Et tu no more

Julius Ceasar is resurrected
He seems sad at the core
In the glory days of my empire
We never thought for

Environmental concerns and people now
Just seem so arrogant and obnoxiously how
And others seem to think it's fine
That's it no big deal and they drink their wine

Can't you see what's about to be
If heaven doesn't judge, the earth will, you'll see
I was once stabbed right through the back
Human's ability for compassion truly lacks
And you've been raping the earth for 2,000 Years
Et tu no more
Et tu no more

And now Cyrus The Great and the other 119
The dead are rising to signal the end
Do we see a reason to fear
The outcome to come around the bend
Goodbye to this Rome and the Second Babylon
Goodbye
Et tu no more

This is about you
And those who listen to this song
