The sixth symphony is the only one having 5 movements and the only one having the 3 last movements linked together. As the 3 last movements last around 17', I did not want to upload them in a poor quality, so I decided to upload them separately. The counterpart is an abrupt ending for the two first movements.
The celebration and the joy associated with the symphony are fully felt in the third movement Allegro, subtitled "Happy assembly of peasants". It is a bucolic atmosphere that turns towards peasant rejoicings. The first part is a scherzo that is divided into two themes. The scherzo is followed by a second part on a popular dance rhythm in two beats, full of contrasts and also comprising two parts.
Currently at work with a black coffee with this wonderous music playing through our Alexa, what a beautiful way to start the day .. The reverb in this so far quiet kitchen is magical.. The work that surely goes into these posts must be phenomenal but wow I'm so glad we get to enjoy them ... Bravo sir 👏👏👏
Aaaah..my weekly (half-weekly ?) Ludwig fix from you ! Coffee in hand (just like @Sprout ! maybe a new trend ?), speakers on. Waking up neighbours with brass and strings. I often have remarks (on my tunes) about the fact they are 'covers' and not originals... Well.. This is the perfect exemple... You spread the beauty and the power of something that was written long ago, and make it alive again. Music (that good) has to travel through time, carried by many hands and minds. Thank you. I enjoyed the majesty and the delicate charm of this one. Very much. Coffee over. Bravo.
