I could listen to this forever!!! They are more than Great!!!!! This is next level talent!!!! Worse thing a Jazz musician encounters playing in clubs trying to make a living is hearing sarcasm form the audience!!!! I heard people say it takes more talent to play the melody of "Moon River" than this sax player's playing!!! That was from my own mother!!!! Great Jazz musicians are taken for granted and so many feel it does not take talent to play like this. It sure does, and talent alone does not do it. It takes HARD work practicing. Charlie Parker as a teemager was chased from a Jam session when Count Basie'e drummer threw his cymbal at Parkers feet to stop him. Charlie purchased most of Lester Young's records (Tenor Sax), left high school (he hardly attended anyway) and for 6 months practiced at a mountain cabin up to 12 hours a day!!! The result is history!!! Parker was getting high like crazy before this and was not good. His addiction continued after he worked to get his FANTASTIC "chops". Back then, many thought the ***** enabled Bebop musicians to play this well. Not true!!!!!
