This is a song I’ve made before glaciations. The idea was to mix the perfect amount of analog distorted guitars and digital synths just one step before being called techno. So I tried to play bass and guitars the more strict possible way, and strings, pads and seqs the most indulgent way so the two genres would merge. That was 30 years ago. Nowadays, I just enjoy it, and envy that little Macoco that imagined these amazing challenges to turned them into music. I can’t recall what machines were used in this making. I think it was a Roland R8 involved, an MC50 sequencer after being recorded in a Yamaha QX5 (only 2 tracks, then bounce!), then dumped into some old Performer in a MacBook 520c, some further Macbooks, iMacs… and so… it survived ‘till today. As we all. Enjoy! Macoco.
Wow....love this Macoco :-) .....sounds like a soundtrack that would've been perfect in a setting such as Miami Vice or something similar....very cool indeed :-)
