As a suggestion, it might be a good idea to have a character counter, so that when using chat and trying to explain something, a sentence can easily go beyond 280 characters.
I understand that text entry stops beyond 280, but I should be able to use backspace to make the sentence shorter once I see that the text has stopped and I've reached the limit, but I can't use backspace, delete or even cursor control, once the limit has been reached everything freezes in the chat with exception to the enter key.
Thanks. I took a look at it after you mentioned it in the chat. Back when I added the "mentions" feature (typing the at sign to select a user), that actually added a lot of hidden complexity. If I could have done a quick fix on this, I would have gone ahead and done it, but since it involves non-trivial effort, it will go into the queue of things to do.
