Commenting on my song "Sweet Mary Jane", Warren Smith mentioned that he was reminded of the Turtles duing their "Elenore" period. Coincidentally, I had already been working on a Turtles pastiche, capitalizing on the fact that they wrote and recorded "Elenore" as a pastiche of their own "Happy Together". These are absolute scratch vocals just to get the idea down -- I fully intend to re-record them and remix this, but I thought it would be fun to give you a glimpse into the work-in-progress.
