This is an improv version of Red Sails In The Sunset, the classic song from the 1930’s. Here I’ve sailed a bit away from its standard harmonies to gave it a more exotic flavor. Started as just piano improv, later added other tracks. Recorded on my iPad.
This sunset/seagull picture for the song I took at North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Tab Hunter...remember him? This is old school...and I am an old school guy! This reminds me of my Dad who used to sing this. He influenced my taste of such great tunes. Love your piano skills. Could I ask you to contribute to my productions when needed?
You manage some astoundingly beautiful chords (that one at 0:16 is a stunner). I like the slightly out of tune piano, it fits. Your mastery of harmony indicates you know a thing or two about music. Very enjoyable, indeed!
@StanTheManLoh . Hey it's a honor to be asked. Thanks. Sure, but maybe down the road a while a little later on, at the moment I'm pretty busy with work and barely have enough time to record my own things presently. I am hoping to collaborate on music here in the future.
