Instead of spending endless hours piecing together stills and random video clips - only to wonder if they even suit the song - I decided to try something different this time: an AI-generated music video.
I used Lemonslice to sync the audio to a custom character I created, based on a photo Elysia sent me (she cheekily asked me to make her look younger - so of course, I did!). The whole process took about four hours from start to finish.
Now, I’ve never been big on AI, but I was curious to see what it could do with a music video… and honestly, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Sure, there are a few quirky moments - like Elysia holding the back of her hand to a floating, heart-shaped device in space (yeah, I know… gravity might have something to say about that) - but that’s the fun of it. With AI, your imagination doesn’t need permission.
All in all a very cool video. A few oddities and a bit of uncanny valley, but, eh, who cares. It was gorgeous. The look was perfect for the tone of the song. I'm not much on AI either, but it looks like it might be something fun to play with a bit.
It's absolutely beautiful.
I’m a little unclear though - is the entire video created using AI?
If so, how on earth did you manage to sync the voice with the vocals so well?
The guy playing the trumpet or French horn has a slightly odd moment with his hands, but aside from that, I never would’ve guessed it was AI-generated.
