The color of custard, 
Sometimes he’s as bright as snow, 
His moods are ever changing, 
Cloaked in an ethereal glow.

A wonderful thing 
You can rely upon 
Regardless of your mood, 
Whether you’re filled with elation, 
Or have a tendency to brood. 

It’s the moon, 
Full-faced, and ever present, 
Throwing his veil across the pond,
Whether things are going well 
But especially when they've gone wrong.

Whether times are calm or rough,
A road is there to a safer harbor
