A slow elegant piece that describes the wonderful spring that we are in the middle of. My favourite time of the year.
Back in 2015 on iCompositions JCLeonard and I did a collaboration. He posted a beautiful track for open collab. A classical style piece with a lovely simple progression and nice harmonies and decorations by a piano and bells. When I heard it, a melody started forming in my head and I knew I had to record it.
An open collab is always a patch work where the choice of instruments and the chords, the harmonization, may not fit the melody perfectly. I always wanted to redo the harmonization and write a chord progression that fit the melody better and also to arrange the orchestra and remove elements that never really fit my melody.
So here is Spring in a 2024 version, completely rewritten and rearranged.

Springtime in the peaceful valley. The shop worn electric guitar might have benefited from a revoicing with two violas in call and response assending toward June, but what do I know.
Just 9 days left and we will enjoy Spring with its gentle temperature, its rain and sunshines. Very enjoyable music from start till end. And that Oldfield like guitar (from Omnisphere) fits perfectly.
Simple, but memorable. I liked the addition of the electric guitar; it gave it a bit more bite. Music like this would work well in a variety of settings.
Certainly sounds like Spring! And I can feel the flower buds now lifting their gentle heads towards the warming sun! Soon they will show off their brilliance but before that your melody will occupy and lead to a grand and splendid show of colours! Very enjoyable piece, my friend!
Enjoyed this lovely piece, which for me has a Pachelbel Canon vibe to it.
